At a glance

Gorgeous complexity and roundness on the palate with roasted almonds, dried fruits and a dash of honey.   Definitely worthy of a meal. Pair with fish either roasted or in sauce, sea scallops, and oysters.

Winemaking

100% Chardonnay grown on chalky limestone soild. Grapes are carefully selected and hand harvested from old vines. Alcohol and malolactic fermentations carried out in steel tanks.

Four years sur latte (vs. the 15 month minimum that is required by law).

The region – Bassuet

Located just a stones’ throw from the famous Côte des Blancs, 90% of the Bernard Lonclas vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, as opposed to the usual red grapes that the Marne Valley is typically known for.
