At a glance

Great with starters and lighter main dishes such as charcuterie, escargots, savory pastries, and richer fish such as salmon. Also pairs nicely with light fruit desserts.

Winemaking

82% Chardonnay from the Hautvillers commune provides lively freshness. The color and red fruit aromas result from 18% Pinot Noir from the terroir of Cumières, which is particularly well reputed for its red wines.

ABV: 12%; Dosage: 9 g/L sugar

The region – Marne Valley, Champagne

Historically recognized for the quality of its red wines and heavily planted with Pinot Noir, the Marne Valley is the easternmost part of Champagne. Between Dormans and Epernay, the Marne River carves out its bed to the south of the Montagne de Reims, offering some outstanding vineyard scenery. Vines stretch as far as the eye can see on the slopes that run down to the river. The villages grouped together on the hillsides offer a multitude of places to stop off and enjoy the view.
